Ron
Moore
grew
up
in
Seoul,
Korea
with
his
missionary
parents.
His
grandparents
were
also
medical
missionaries
in
Manchuria,
China.
Ron
is
generally
credited
with
coining
the
name
Contemporary
Christian
Music
[CCM].
While
writing
record
reviews
for
Harmony
Magazine
under
the
pen
name
Blue
Samuel
Flying,
Ron
felt
the
then
current
name
Jesus
Music
or
Jesus
Rock
used
a
name
much
too
special
to
be
just
the
label
of a
music
style
and
wrote
about
CCM
instead.
The
name
stuck
and
also
affected
mainstream
use
as
Adult
Contemporary.
He
also
produced
and
co-produced
Mark
Heard's
first
two
albums
as
well
as
Jan
Krist's
"Decapitated
Society,"
winner
of
Billboard
Magazine's
Number
One
Critic's
Choice
album
of
the
year.
Ron
is
credited
with
CCM's
first
direct
to
disc
album
and
first
music
video
album.
An
international
concert
and
recording
artist
combining
music
and
comedy,
he
performed
at
ICHTHUS
Music
festival
three
times,
including
the
first
one,
and
the
Black
Mountain
Folk
Festival.
The
vocals
and
guitar
work
in
his
original,
unplugged
music
has
been
hailed
as
"brilliant"
by
reviewers.
Ron's
concerts
have
taken
him
all
over
world
from
Korea
to
Bulgaria,
Romania,
Hungary,
and
Poland
to
the
United
Kingdom,
Costa
Rica
and
the
Bahamas.
Ron
also
represents
World
Vision,
a
relief
organization
for
third
world
children
in
over
100
countries
and
the
U.S.A.
Ron
has
recorded
twelve
albums
and
performed
concerts
all
over
the
world.
His
albums
have
received
radio
airplay
nationally
and
Ron
hosted
the
cable
TV
video
show
"Off
The
Wall!"
for
three
years.
He
has
influenced
and
shared
the
stage
with
many
of
the
top
artists
of
the
music
industry,
still
his
performances
come
across
with
a
personal
touch
that
is
captivating.
